Hello and thank you for finding your way to Over The Moony! This is a brand-spankin' new blog that is going to be loads of fun! You might have been directed here from my old blog, Makeup & Macaroni. If so, thanks for your continued support!
I decided to create a new blog because, to be frank, a makeup blog was an expensive thing to keep up with. There are constantly new makeup products coming out and I was having trouble keeping up with everything. I was having a hard time justifying buying a new mascara to review when I had just bought a new one a week ago! I accumulated quite the collection of products that I don't even use much because I just bought them to review for the blog and then never used them again.
On top of that, I wanted to talk about other things and being that "makeup" was in the name of the blog, I felt like that's what people came to read about, not how much I enjoyed binge-watching Sherlock or how excited I was about all the new products in the latest issue of Previews. I needed somewhere I could let my geek flag fly, so I decided to start a new blog where I could talk about everything and anything and didn't feel so cornered.
That being said, I'm sure I will still talk about new makeup products (especially with the Star Wars collection by Cover Girl coming out in the next couple weeks!), because makeup is and will always be something that I enjoy, but I'm happy to have a nice, neutral slab of clay that is this blog that I can mold into somewhere I can come and feel comfortable talking about whatever I want.
