And so we begin the parade of October subscription boxes!  Birchbox always gets here first so let's take a look and see what we got!

This month they had three different boxes to choose from in their early access selection.  They seem to always offer a curated box as an option or just your regular box with a sample selection.  They had two different boxes to choose from this month but by the time I was sent the e-mail to make my choice, I only had a couple different mascaras to choose from.

Jouer - Matte Moisture Tint - Nude | I'm terrible at applying sunscreen, mostly because since I'm so fair I do my absolute best to stay out of the sun.  This will be something nice to keep on hand for days when I know I'll be outside but still want to keep my face safe!

Acure Organics - Cell Stimulating Facial Mask | I'm always game for a facial mask.  It says it "helps shed weekly dirt and grime, activating stem cells and revitalizing skin cells".

Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin Cream | I have no idea what ceramidin is, but I generally enjoy Dr. Jart+ products.

Stila Huge Extreme Lash Mascara | This is the mascara I was able to pick out and I'm excited to try it.  I enjoy mascaras that give me big lashes!

Macadamia Professional Style Extend Dry Shampoo | I'm always in need of dry shampoo on my non-wash days so I'll definitely be using this!

And that's my Birchbox for October.  I'll be honest, I think this might be my last one.  I've been a Birchbox subscriber since I want to say 2011 or 2012.  I remember watching YouTube videos about it and thinking it was the coolest thing because it was really the only one at that time and it just seemed like the coolest idea ever.

I've seen so many other people say that Birchbox has been going down in quality and I've been a defender of them for a while now, but for me, the straw that broke the camel's back is, in fact, this whole early access thing.  I have a friend who just joined in June who is always getting access before I get access.  I can understand giving the earliest access to people who refer friends, that doesn't bother me, but I feel like the fact that I've been a subscriber for quite a while now should mean something.

I belong to so many different subscription services now, and while Birchbox was the innovator in this arena, I feel like they have been passed by a lot of different companies.  So next month very well may be Birchbox free.
