San Diego Comic Con 2016 - Exclusive Funkos & Panels

I am always so excited about San Diego Comic Con.  One day I myself will get there, even though just the thought of it gives me so much anxiety.  So many people, so much to do, so little time.

San Diego Comic Con 2016 Exclusive Funkos
While I wish I could be there in person, nothing gets me more excited like stalking all of social media when I know a big panel is coming up so I can see all of the updates and trailers that come out!  Equally, nothing makes me more depressed than having to wait an extra three hours since I live on the east coast.

One thing that has been fantastic is that some of the SDCC Exclusive collectibles are now available in stores for us poor souls who can't make it out to the west coast.  Barnes & Noble, Hot Topic, and this year Game Stop are all host to some of the exclusive Funko from the Con.  Most of them went on sale yesterday and I was able to snatch the Thumbs Up BB-8 Funko from the Hot Topic website.  Then one of my work BFF's and I took a run over to Barnes and Noble on our lunch break to pick up some of the exclusives.  Luckily all of the ones I wanted to get were there!

Of course, ahead of Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them we get an adorable Newt Scamander Funko!  This is going to be the year of the Hufflepuff as Newt proves all of the haters wrong.

They also had a three-pack of the mini Funkos featuring some of the creatures in the Harry Potter books.  We have the Cornish Pixie, the Grindylow and the Mandrake.  They're  so ugly but so adorable all at the same time, especially the Mandrake!

Barnes & Noble also seems to have early access to releasing the Harry Potter Mystery Minis, which are so devastatingly addicting.  I'm currently working on collecting the Disney Princess series that is similar to the Harry Potter one in that each human comes with an animal/creature companion.  The companions are tough to find in the Disney one but it seems like you have better luck in the Harry Potter one.  Barnes & Noble actually has a couple exclusive minis, however.

In the normal set you get Harry in his sweater and pants, and his companion is Hedwig.  Barnes & Noble has Harry in his Quidditch uniform and his companion is the most adorable version of Sirius ever!  Your odds for getting either of those are 1/12.  The normal series has Dumbledore in his reddish-colored robes and comes with Fawkes, while in the Barnes & Noble set he is in his lavender robes and, while he comes with Fawkes here as well, the Fawkes at Barnes & Noble is flocked (fuzzy).  The odds of getting either of those are 1/36.  I'm unsure of whether or not the Barnes & Noble exclusives will be available always or if they're only available during SDCC.  Either way, I am going to be out and about to all of the Barnes & Nobles in my area to find more of these guys!

And while I'm out running around like a crazy person trying to buy more blind boxes, an insane amount of panels will be taking place and gracing us with all sorts of information about the most popular shows and movies gracing our screens over the next couple months!  Going through the full list is daunting.  I can't even imagine trying to plan out a day around trying to get in all of the panels you want to see.  Not to mention the fact that if you're trying to see anything in Hall H you're giving up your entire day to see it.  But, even after all that, this is hands down one of my favorite weekends of the year.
Here is a handful (let's imagine I have hands the size of Hagrid) of panels that I cannot wait to hear about!

Thursday @ 12:00PM - Justice League Action
There's going to be a new Justice League cartoon short on Cartoon Network and I am excited!!  I hope we get a trailer or a premier or something out of it.  I also hope maybe they start bringing back the Saturday morning DC cartoon hour.  I miss that!  My boyfriend and I used to love watching that but I guess the shows were "too dark" for Saturday morning.  Whatever.

Friday @ 1:00PM - AMC's The Walking Dead
We have always gotten an extended trailer from this panel the past couple years. I'm curious to see if we'll get one this year given the way the season ended last year.  The new promo pictures they released have been so upsetting and their booth just adds insult to injury.  If you haven't seen it yet I'm sure you can find it somewhere online.  They're just rubbing that ending in our faces at this point.  I don't know how much they are going to show of the core group, but my boyfriend brought up a good point that they can show what's going on with Carol and Morgan!  And if they're going where I think they're going and meet who I think they're going to meet, I'm going to lose my mind.  I don't read the comics but John does and he tells me about things... so I know about some cool things.

Friday @ 3:30PM - Bates Motel

The last season was pretty crazy.  Some things happened that I didn't think would happen for a while and I'm curious about where the show is going to go after this.  I'm still holding out hope that the last season of the show is going to be just a prolonged version of the movie and seeing everything happen from Norman's perspective.  I can't imagine the show is going to have too many seasons with how quickly it picked up at the end of last season.  Give us more information!!

Friday @ 6:45PM - Scream Queens
This was surprisingly one of my absolute favorite shows from last year.  I thought it was hilarious and Chad Radwell was hands down my favorite character on the show.  I was so excited to hear that the show is picking up with the same characters as last year so I get more Radwell in my life!  I can't wait to hear where they're taking this show this season.

Saturday @ 11:30PM - Warner Brothers
I'm really looking forward to "Fantastic Beasts" and "The LEGO Batman Movie" and I'm hoping to get some more information on those! Plus, I've heard rumors that WB put in copyrights for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Does this mean we'll have a movie soon?! Will they talk about it?! I'm excited to find out. Plus maybe they'll get us a little more excited about the DC movie lineup.  And, if all else fails, at least Tom Hiddleston will be there to promote the new King Kong movie... hopefully sans Taylor Swift.

Saturday @ 2:10 - Gotham
Villains are all the rage on Gotham these days and I am so beyond okay with that!  Last season was so good, and now Fish Mooney's back.  The Court of Owls is going to be a thing which should be interesting, and there is an entire bus of potential wandering the streets.  What new villains will show up?  Is Jim going to find Lee?  I'm excited for a trailer!

Saturday @ 3:30PM - The CW Block (Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash & Arrow)

Arrow! The Flash! Legends of Tomorrow! Tell me more! I'm hoping that maybe they will elaborate more on Tom Felton's role in The Flash.  They make so many Harry Potter references in that show that I really want to have him give a nod to Draco!  Fingers crossed! I'm also hoping they will elaborate on Captain Cold's role in the shows because time travel is dumb and no one ever actually goes away. Speaking of time travel being dumb, what the h-e-double hockey sticks did Barry do to the timeline!? Ugh. And then Arrow. Oh Arrow. What has become of your team?  I didn't love Supergirl to be honest, so I'm not overly excited about learning about the new season, but I'm sure there will be crossovers so that will be fun!

Saturday @ 5:30PM - Marvel Studios
Benedict? Can you please come and talk about your movie? Also can we see more of your movie? Also also can we see something from Guardians 2? Please?  I'm sure we can expect something awesome to happen, because who doesn't remember this absolutely amazing gem of an experience.  High expectations:  Always set.  Every year.

Sunday @ 10:00AM - Sherlock
There are pictures from the set that the BBC has been posting on the webs.  I am hoping so hard that there is some sort of trailer or something they are going to show.   Obviously things have been filmed so they have to present us with something.  Maybe the opening from the first new episode?  Is that hoping too hard?  I hope we get SOMETHING!  ANYTHING!  Why does Sherlock have an adorable dog?  Is it his dog?  Did he borrow it?  What is happening?

Sunday @ 10:00Am - DC Superhero Girls
I am keeping my fingers crossed that they are going to be rolling out a new line of the dolls because those dolls are beautiful.  I had already settled with myself that I'm probably going to spend the $80 to get the absolutely gorgeous Katana doll off Ebay.  It's $40 at the Con so that's not a terrible markup.  But yesterday they announced on their Instagram that they're going to be making a Katana for the regular line so I think I'm holding out for that one and it looks like today they're going to be announcing Starfire!  I'm also keeping my fingers crossed that they show the LEGO line that is supposed to be coming out.  And they're premiering the first full-length movie so I'm excited to see that!

Sunday @ 11:15AM - LEGO Dimensions
I know we already saw all of the new stuff coming out from E3, but maybe they were saving more details to share at SDCC.  I need to know if I'm getting more Harry Potter and I need to know more about the Fantastic Beasts world!  And all of the other amazing ones, because there are a lot.  But mainly those two.  And the Ghostbusters.  Yep.  Those would be good.  And maybe now that Disney officially announced that the Infinity game is going to be no more they will announce some Star Wars and/or Disney related worlds.

What are you looking forward to seeing from Comic Con?  Do you have a panel schedule in your head so you can start stalking everything appropriately?  Were you able to snag some SDCC exclusives online?  Am I the only one who pretty much lives in the #SDCC hashtag on Instagram all weekend so I can see every angle of every aspect of the Con?  Tell me about how you enjoy the SDCC!
