I have never really considered myself to be much of a fancy person. While I enjoy being fancy every once in a while, I'm much more of a jeans and a t-shirt kind of person, which tends to flow into most every aspect of my life. I don't really care much about making my house look like Pinterest (as much as I would love to, I just don't have that much energy), and I'm not someone who is crazy about making everything match, including anything in my kitchen. All of our cups and plates and silverware is just a hodge-podge of my old sets joined with John's old sets joined with things we've acquired together with random things we find at the store that we love.
Cut to me at Target last weekend when I came across an end cap of these adorable plates, bowls, cups and water bottles from Zak. John just suggested maybe getting a couple bowls to use for the cat's water and food, but no. Oh no. I needed everything. Because oh my gosh it is all just too perfect!
I've always noticed all of the cute character bowls and cups, but something about this style just drew me in hook, line and sinker. Unfortunately the selection was a little more picked over than I would have liked it to be, but I did manage to pick up a couple more things this weekend, so horray for that! Also, most of this stuff is way too cute for me to actually use. Yeah, I'm totally one of those people. But it's okay. Lucky for me, I need lots of props for lots of pictures so at least they won't go completely to waste, right? Right. Totally justified! :)
Have any of you seen these sets at your local Target? Have you picked any up? If you aren't able to find them at your store, do some digging around on the Target website. If you search for Zak, the Disney Princess sets will come up, and then in the "Guests Also Viewed" section, you can find some of the other bowls. And if you still have no luck, fear not! You can find very similar designs on the Zak Designs website.
